Melodie is a Certified Public Accountant holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Western Kentucky University. Melodie has over 23 years experience in accounting and has been with Hargis & Associates for 23 years and devoted her experience exclusively to the healthcare industry, more specifically nursing facilities. As a Senior Accountant, she consults with for-profit and not-for-profit nursing facilities regarding every facet of facility operations; ranging from start-up analysis to profit retention. Specialties include: completing CON's, bed certification changes, and cost reporting preparation. Melodie is a member of the KAHCF Payment for Services Committee, and a past chairman of the KAHCF Vendor Committee. Melodie volunteers her time to support Logan County Adult Education, Logan County Booster Foundation, as well as her church.
